A Spanish white wine grape variety also known as Viura is used in the production of White Rioja. Also grown in Catalonia where it is blended with Parellada and Xarello to make Cava. On the other side of the Pyrenees it is grown in the Languedoc region. In Roussillon it is found in sweet white Banyuls and dry rich Corbières.
