A white wine grape that is highly aromatic, having the smell and taste of lychees. The grape is a pinkish colour. It is at its best in the Alsace and because of its naturally high sugar content is suited for making a range from dry to sweet wines.
Now grown all around the world although it prefers cool conditions.
