A fragrant wine with aromas of blackberries, violets, red liquorice, redcurrant, raspberry, cedar and cinnamon. In the mouth it is silky with red plums, blackcurrants, a smoky savouriness, cloves and chocolate. Fine tannins and a bright fresh acidity on the finish.
Younger vines from their Central Otago Lowburn vineyard grown in schist with naturally built up organic material. The North Canterbury grapes came from older 10-15 year old vineyards in the heart of the Waipara Valley.
