Marques de Tomares reserva is aged for a total of 36 months; 18 months in French oak barrels, and a further 18 months resting the cellar after bottling. This level of maturity has enabled the wine to shake off its tannic structure, and allowed its wonderful spicy fruit to shine through. The vines that deliver the fruit destined for this Reserva blend were planted as early as 1940- this enables a degree of complexity and concentration – which is evident on the palate. Tempranillo, Granciano, Mazuelo & Viura are blended to provide a wine with a beautiful core of rich red fruit, spicy oak, chocolate and violets. Decant for an hour and enjoy with roast lamb.
