Marques de Riscal Finca Torrea Rioja

Black cherry in colour, with violet hues which signify youthfulness. The nose is intense, with concentrated aromas of dark fruits such as plums, blackberries and blueberries which mingle with the tertiary aromas from the oak aging. As a result, this brings out the balsamic notes along with liquorice and eucalyptus. A fine base of caramel, toffee and a spicy, mineral finish gives the wine great aromatic complexity. 

The palate is supple and oily with good backbone, in which the taste sensations appear at all times with great finesse and elegance. A very pleasant finish which is long and lingering with notes of balsamic and spice that seem to go on and on. 

This is a wine that can be paired with all manner of dishes, including grilled meats, chicken casseroles and also fish dishes, such as sea bream or cod with a tomato and red pepper sauce.
